Prototype resources:

Orange Empire Railway Museum - Has one of the largest inventories of rolling stock in the country.  Their inventory includes a wide variety of heavyweights and Overtons as well as several D&RGW freight cars.

The John Maxwell Collection - Has a very extensive collection of photographs and drawings of Colorado narrow gauge railroads.

Railway Car Construction by William Voss, 1892 - “The definitive work on American car building practice circa 1892.  Covering both freight and passenger car construction with more than 200 illustrations.”  An excellent prototype design reference reprinted from the archives of the Orange Empire Railway Museum.

1:24 Scale Resources:

Aristo-Craft Classic - Delton Locomotives and rollingstock.  Here we have the popular C16 locomotive and several cars in 1:24 scale as well as a railbus.

Aristo-Craft - Rogers locomotive - Approximately 1:24 or 1:22.5 scale.  This locomotive is a bit too large for the 1:29 scale claimed by Aristo-Craft and there is no true prototype to compare it with.  However, this is a very popular locomotive among kit-bashers of all the G scales.

USA Trains - American and Work Train series.

Hartland Locomotive Works

Ozark Miniatures - A large selection of 1:24 scale detail parts.

Precision Scale Co., Inc. -  A massive selection of 1:24 scale detail parts and kits including fine scale (1.5” & 2.36”) gauge trucks, and couplers.

Light Rail Products - A great selection of 1:24 scale trolley kits and parts for precision scale modeling.

Grandt Line Products -  1:24 scale architectural building components.

Trackside Details -  Brass and plastic detail parts.

Scale Hardware - One of the best sources for finescale nuts, bolts, and tools.
